iDeal
Where iDeal could grow
Today iDeal is Eurecable's own unit of recognition for review: it cannot be bought or sold for money. Below are directions in which it could gain value outside Eurecable too.
These are plans, not promises. None of the directions runs, there are no dates, and each will happen only if people and partners who need it appear.
What we hold to in any case
- 01Value comes from use, not from resale: iDeal is spent on what an author really needs.
- 02Part of the spent iDeal is burned, so the unit does not lose value as it piles up.
- 03Getting in is easier than getting out: no exchange and no speculation on a rate.
Partners accept iDeal
Services authors need — hosting, courses, legal advice — are paid in iDeal. The coupon is personal and cannot be resold; the spent iDeal is burned.
What it needs to start
Partners interested in authors and reviewers, and rules that keep a coupon from turning into money.
Companies and reviewed ideas
Companies get access to open ideas and their facet-by-facet review and pay money for it; part of the income goes to the authors and the reviewers.
What it needs to start
Authors' consent, a settled content licence and companies that need such access.
Backing against an authorship certificate
A certificate proves priority: with it an author can look for a grant, an investor or a loan for the idea. The riskiest direction on the list — a question for now, not a plan.
What it needs to start
An honest way to assess ideas, a legal basis and partners ready for such a risk.
Patents together
Strong ideas from the review are taken to a patent with shared money; the author and the members get a share if the patent earns.
What it needs to start
Patent attorneys, money and transparent rules of selection and of sharing the income.
A bridge to creators' platforms
An author shows the review and the certificates on YouTube, Patreon and their channel, and their audience supports ideas through Eurecable.
What it needs to start
Integrations with those platforms and authors with an audience of their own.
What will not change
iDeal is not sold for money on the site, there is no rate and no exchange, and a member's balance is not public — neither on the site nor in the network.
